This Year in Israel: Faith, Strength, and the promise ahead
Posted on 20 April 2026
As we approach this deeply emotional time of the year we find ourselves standing between two powerful days, Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut.
Since October 7th we have lived through uncertainty and heartbreak and also through undeniable miracles. Missiles sent towards us, threats from within our borders and beyond. And yet time and again we have felt and seen Hashem’s protection beyond what can be explained.
Even now as we prepare for these special days we still have soldiers on the front lines.
Young men and women who have put their lives on hold so that we can continue to live, build and dream here.
We pray for them.
For their safety.
For their strength.
For their well-being
For their safe return home.
They are the heroes of our generation.
Twenty years ago I made Aliyah with a very clear feeling in my heart that mashiach was just around the corner and that we were coming home to live in Israel and to greet something extraordinary. Today I feel that even more strongly.
There is an energy in the air. A sense that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. A deep knowing that we are exactly where we are meant to be.
Yom Ha’atzmaut this year is meaningful because the joy stems from gratitude, resilience and the powerful truth that we have a Jewish homeland that was given to us, protected for us and lived in with heart and soul.
In my work I have the privilege of helping families create homes here in Israel.
We're creating homes where life happens.
Where generations gather.
Where memories are built.
Where laughter, tears and meaning fill the rooms.
Where each family in their unique way infuses their home with soul.
As we enter Yom HaZikaron we remember those who gave everything.
And as we enter Yom Haatzmaut we carry their memory forward by building, creating and choosing to live here in Eretz Yisrael.
May we continue to see Hashem's protection.
May our soldiers be safe and return home healthy and may we continue to witness miracles.
And may we celebrate a complete and lasting geula very soon.
