Choose a bold color or wallpaper

Experiment with color and pattern that complements the overall style of your home, or go for a more daring choice to make a statement. A  bold or unexpected color on the walls, like deep blue or emerald green will create a dramatic and memorable look. Eye-catching wallpaper will make statement and sets the tone for the rest of the room.

Showcase your personal style by installing a sink that has a unique shape or finish, such as a hammered metal or stone basin. Pair it with a faucet that has an interesting design, such as a waterfall piece. These details will add personality to your powder room and make it stand out.

Add statement lighting

Lighting is an important aspect of any room and can have a particularly big impact in a powder room. Unique lighting fixtures, like a chandalier or pendant light draw the eye to create a focal point and can add a lot of character.  Make sure the lighting is functional as well, with sufficient light for applying makeup or washing your hands.

Use natural materials

Unique materials like natural stone, wood, or marble add a sense of luxury.  A stone accent wall, will create a spa like feel, while a bespoke wooden cabinet will add warmth and charm and a marble countertop will create a high-end look.

Play with texture

Texture can add depth and interest to a powder room design. You can use textured wallpaper,  a patterned floor tile or a woven basket  to add interest to the room.

Create a focal point with a statement mirror

Choose a mirror with an interesting shape, frame, or color that complements the overall design of the room. A large mirror can also make the room feel more spacious.
